With that being said, I thought a year-in-review would be appropriate - to look back every year and see how my answers might change. Read on if you would like, or don't, but thank you anyway for following our little journey.
Our Year in Review
What one event, big or small, are you going to tell your grandchildren about?Probably planning our wedding. It brought me happiness and frustration all at once but has been a process I have been trying to enjoy - you only do this once right? I would tell them to take everything in stride and try to just be happy that you are getting closer and closer to the best day of your life!
What new things did you discover about yourself?Mostly, what it takes for me to feel balanced between life and work. I have always tried to prioritize life but only this year have I really felt I've gotten a handle on that.
What was the best news you received? That my best friend was going to have a beautiful baby girl!! The best news of my life.
What was your favourite place that you visited in 2014?I would say for sure traveling to Chicago to sight-see and buy my wedding dress at BHLDN. It was Tyler's first time there and he just fell in love - so much so that he talks a lot about moving there. Besides that, I loved our beach trips and going to St. Augustine.
What, or who, are you most thankful for?Tyler, of course. And on a personal level, the moments I get to see my dad be himself again. Every moment is precious these days and I have enjoyed every single one.
What little things did you most enjoy during your day-to-day life?Laying in bed, sleeping until noon and watching Netflix all night.
What cool things did you create this year?My first furniture makeover! So much fun and I felt so accomplished afterwards.
What was your favourite moment spent with your friends?Being at the hospital while my best friend gave birth. Such a magical moment and my first time witnessing a birth - nothing can explain the exhilaration and joy I felt just being there, let alone what I'm sure she must have felt giving birth!
What experience would you love to do all over again?Watching my dad dance the electric slide at my sister's wedding.
What one thing would you do differently and why?Spending more time with my family.
What did you think about more than anything else?Planning our wedding! No competition there.
If you had to describe your 2014 in 3 words, what would they be?Balance. Organization. Capturing Memories (2 words, but oh well!)
Can't wait for a great 2015!
